SMCS Safety Plan Overview

The SMCS emergency plans incorporate the National Incident Management System and reflect the National Response Framework.  We review this annually with our community's first responders.

Each campus at SMCS has an Incident Command Structure and each staff member is part of a Safety Team in which they each play a specific role in each emergency situation.  These roles are reviewed annually.  Drills for fire or evacuation are practiced monthly, and two drills for shelter in place and for lock-down are conducted each semester.
